The Music School with Focus on You

Nordenfeltska Music School was founded to offer high-quality, individual music instruction in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Our goal is not only to teach technical skill, but to awaken a lifelong love of music. We adapt song choices and methods based on each individual student's interests and background – regardless of age or previous experience.

Our History

Nordenfeltska Music School is the largest and oldest private music school in Danderyd Municipality. We are run as a non-profit association and have existed since the 1940s when we were founded by Birgitta Nordenfelt – one of the prominent figures in 20th-century Swedish musical life.

The school is located at Djursholm Castle, with good bus connections and good parking facilities. Please feel free to read more about our non-profit association, the move from Stocksund and how you can support us on the page Friends of Nordenfeltska.
